Combustible gas alarm can detect gas and natural gas, is there a difference?
Combustible gas detector manufacturers tell you that different sensors are used to detect different gases. There is also a difference between natural gas and gas. As a result, some customers do not know which one to install in production.
The first is the difference in price: gas sensors are more expensive than natural gas, but they can detect flammable gases.
The second is the difference in composition: natural gas uses methane as the main component, and artificial gas uses hydrogen, methane, and carbon monoxide as the main component; the concentration ranges of combustion and explosion are different: after mixing natural gas with air, the concentration of natural gas in the air can reach 5-15 % When it encounters a fire, it will explode, and after the artificial gas is mixed with air, the gas concentration in the air reaches 4.8-50% and it explodes when it encounters an open flame.
Third, the harmfulness is different: natural gas is generally non-toxic in terms of its composition, but only produces carbon monoxide toxic gas under incomplete combustion conditions, and artificial gas still contains a certain concentration of carbon monoxide after combustion, which has toxic characteristics. In the case of a leak, natural gas is generally not poisoned, and artificial gas is easily poisoned.
Different sources: natural gas is directly mined from the ground and obtained through necessary processing, while artificial gas is extracted from coal; the use pressure is different: 800-1800pa for artificial gas and 1500-2800pa for natural gas.
